There is a lot of food that you can eat that causes the symptoms of your psoriasis to go down. Below are some examples of diets that improve your psoriasis.

Fruits and vegetables that are anti-inflammatory

Almost all types of fruits and vegetables are anti-inflammatory, the shell of an apple contains a substance called quercetin which is anti-inflammatory which can help when your psoriasis has flared up. Turmeric, rosehip powder and boswellia are also very good as suppressants. There are also studies that show that a little red wine has anti-inflammatory properties, but drink in moderation of course!

Salmon and other fatty fish containing omega-3

You should eat fish about three times a week. Salmon and other fatty fish contain the anti-inflammatory oil omega-3 which has a number of useful properties. Choose salmon, tuna, sardines, herring or mackerel, even the oysters contain the oil which can relieve the problems with psoriasis.

Spices that contain antioxidants such as thyme, sage and ginger

There are also a whole bunch of herbs that contain antioxidants that can also relieve the symptoms of psoriasis. Choose different onions, cayenne pepper, chili pepper, curry or ginger. Most herbs are also good to use.

Useful sources of fat such as olive oil, avocado, seeds and nuts

Some oils are both anti-inflammatory and good. Choose organic olive or rapeseed oils but also avocado oil almond oil or hemp seed oil works well. When it comes to nuts, pecans, hazelnuts cashews and almonds work well.

Many people who have started eating completely gluten-free, no sugar or foods that have a lot of starches such as bread, pasta, potatoes or rice have also felt that their psoriasis has improved. Many also state a weight loss when excluding such food.

It also contains pectin which is considered to be blood sugar boosting. The rich content of antioxidants also makes the body purified from toxins and it also seems that cabbage lowers the bad cholesterol LDL which makes it ideal to eat if you have psoriasis.

Turmeric has been used in cooking and in self-medication for many years. It is said to relieve joint problems and act anti-inflammatory. It also appears that turmeric strengthens your immune system and has a blood sugar-balancing effect. Studies show that it increases insulin sensitivity in the muscles. These properties make turmeric a perfect additive to your food if you have psoriasis.
